Blast off for new project
AJE is continuing its work in the space industry with the procurement of a new project in a galaxy not so far, far, far away.
The company has already been heavily involved in the fabrication and installation of a new hangar that was built for the new SaxaVord spaceport on Unst, one of the Shetland Islands.
Now, the firm has secured more work in this industry which is going from strength to strength in Scotland.
The new project will see the team at AJE fabricating a “large piece of kit” which is critical to the launching of the actual rockets!
Coincidentally, it was great to see extensive news coverage of Rocket Factory Augsburg’s hot fire of engines at the SaxaVord Spaceport last month. RFA hot-fired a total of four Helix engines, igniting one by one at four second intervals. The test ran flawlessly.
It really is all systems go over on Unst.
